Simple, yet full of fun details! My personal favorite, in lieu of a floral bouquet, she had a bouquet of bright butterflies. Dinner came in the form of a taco truck. Chela’s Tacos – yummy! An ice cream truck arrived in time for dessert. Games were laid around the property for people to play, complete with pinatas, hayrides and an air jumpy. So much fun! At the end of the evening, Jason and his twin sons did a karate demonstration. Jason, Leea, and these young men have all earned their black belts together. Impressive. Congratulations Leea and Jason!

Because they were so far away, the engagement session happened just a few days before the wedding. When Leea and I were talking about the engagement session, she did not want anything close to traditional. Jason is a tattoo artist and Leea is quite creative herself. They specifically asked for “outside the box”. Yes!! So that is exactly what we did… at the local junk yard :) Both Leea and Jason are two of the sweetest people. I just loved getting to know them both better. Thank you for trusting me and being so willing to go anywhere!

This was my first post-baby photo shoot. What a way to dive back in! These two were so much fun to spend time with. I think I tore an ab laughing so hard with them. (I had to throw the word “ab” in there for Brian. Apparently my northern accent comes shining through when I say that word, which gave Brian quite a laugh, then in turn we all had a good laugh.) After meeting downtown, we headed to their house to get some photos with the “kids”. By kids I mean three seriously spoiled doggies… my kind of pups. Vizsla’s and a Rescue. (In case you didn’t know, I have a Vizsla and a rescue). Seriously, I am so excited to be capturing their wedding in August!! So fun!

They just seemed to have a such an admiration and respect for one another. It just so happened that thier wedding date also fell on the weekend that little Liam was due to be born. Again, I was so thankful that Jennifer trusted me to find the right photographers to handle her day, while I still handled everything else. HUGE THANKS, again, to Kellie and Traci of Anne Marie Photography who captured their day at the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts. Thank you ladies!! Greg’s dad and my dad have been stirring up trouble together since high school as best buds. When Greg contacted me about a year ago asking if I would photograph his wedding, I was honored! I was also NOT pregnant or planning on it. Then I found out I was expecting little Liam and that his due date was on May 28th, the date of Greg and Erin’s wedding. Uh oh. I was sad that I would be missing this event on many levels. Thank goodness that Greg and Erin trusted me to find the right photographer to capture their wedding images while I continued to have a hand in the whole process. HUGE thank you to Traci and Kellie of Anne Marie Photography!! They traveled to Mexico to capture Greg and Erin’s wedding and I am so very grateful for them and all of their hard work!! The images below were taken by Traci and Kellie, with my own touches added. So sad I missed the wedding day! (but obviously for good reason :) )

I had a c-section and he came a week early. Apparently we like to make big boys… he came in at 9lbs 15oz and 22 inches long. (Jay arrived at 10lbs 14oz 2 years ago). Liam had a little trouble breathing at first, so he had to spend some time in NICU. All is well and he is doing great. He is even sleeping 5 1/2 hour stretches at night for mom and dad. Thank you son! Here are some of his first pictures…

His ‘lil feet hooked up in NICU…

We had been prepping Jay for months on the arrival of Baby Liam. We would point out babies, talk about babies, anything to try and make some connection between mommy’s belly and what was really about to happen. Knowing that his life could be turned upside down with the arrival of this little guy. Jay has been amazing! He is so excited to have a baby brother and helps with all kinds of things. Here are some pictures of their first meeting. These were taken by my mom. Paul brought him in the room and immediately Jay announced by pointing “Baby Liam!!!” He kept telling us and pointing and celebrated by giving both Paul and I a kiss and kissing Liam. Instant brotherly love is beautiful…

Jay’s 2nd birthday was on April 30 and we got him a train table. We decided to hold off on giving it to him until the arrival of Liam so he had something special too. Needless to say he LOOOOOVES it!!

My mom arrives tonight to help care for this new life on the way and the vibrant, energized 2 year old bouncing around here. I am so grateful she is coming! Baby will be here in the next few days and I promise to keep you all posted with a picture once we get settled. For now, I just want to say to anyone that is trying to contact me, please be patient over the next few weeks. I will be checking emails and phone messages. I just won’t be quite as quick to respond, especially if you catch me while I’m in the hospital. I look forward to connecting with you!
