Rochelle + Mason . Bandera, TX . Wedding

Someday, local Texans will look back at this past May and remember where they were the night of the record floods. While my husband and kids were tucked into a corner of our house sitting out a Tornado warning, I was in Bandera capturing what was supposed to be a surprise outdoor wedding. The guests thought they were coming for the groom’s annual birthday party bash. Yes, this day was also Mason’s birthday:)

I started at the house with getting ready shots, but as the evening unfolded and the rain continued, it became quite clear this wasn’t going down as planned. At one point, roads were closed, the reception site was flooded and the wedding was even called off. The mariachi band and stranded guests started filing in to the ranch house and the rain finally gave way to clearer skies. With a living room full of guests and a mariachi band in full swing, the bride got her hair done which made for one of my favorite moments captured below! The wedding was back on! Those that could make it to the venue, surrounded Rochelle and Mason as they said their “I Do’s” and the celebration was on! This was definitely one for the books and although it didn’t go along with plan A, it was a beautiful evening full of family, friends, and celebration! Congratulations Mason and Rochelle! Thanks for the beautiful memories that unfolded that night of the floods:)
