Corie + Colbi . Grand Rapids, MI . Wedding

I met Colbi through my husband many years ago. They were friends growing up. Colbi has a personality that everyone loves to be around and a heart for those he meets. He is one of those genuine guys. So when he called and said he had met someone that he was quite serious about, naturally, Paul and I were curious about who had captured his heart and very happy for him. Then when he called to say they were engaged and wanted me to photograph, I was honored. Corie and I attended the same college, Hope College, only a few years apart 😉 I knew I’d like her! They could not have asked for a more perfect day. Getting married in Grand Rapids, MI where the summer trees were in full bloom (yes, summer… a little behind on the blog), the sun was shining, and the humidity was under control. Corie was simply stunning in her dress and (my favorite) yellow shoes. The orange flowers and grey suits with green ties topped it off. Everything looked gorgeous and everyone had a great time. One of the things I love about these two is their laid back personalities and fun-loving nature. My kind of people! Just check out some of the moments captured. Congratulations!

Here are some of my faves…

Colbi is an expert tie tie-er, so he did them for his groomsmen as well…

First Sight…

When it came time for Colbi’s dance with his mother, on came the Chicken Dance…

Then Colbi shared it was a joke and he had another song instead. She was definitely caught off guard by her jokester son:)

The Polka with Corie’s Grandfather…
